    In interior construction, drywall tools are used to install drywall, which is also known as sheetrock and plasterboard.  The initial install is to hang drywall on the wood or metal studs.  Then the drywall is finished with tape and taping compound, often called mud, to achieve a uniform smoth and seamless appearance.
